Vibhoutee Sharma : From Pune Pageants to Bollywood Films and Web Series

Few screen careers begin with a human-resources degree. Vibhoutee Sharma 's did. Before she appeared in Tiger Zinda Hai, the Yash Raj action film starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, she had completed an MBA in Pune, won a pageant title there and started appearing in television commercials.

What followed was not a straight climb from one format to the next. Her documented work moves sideways as often as upward: web series, studio films, a horror drama in which she plays the title character, a music video and streaming shows, with advertising running underneath all of it. Read closely, the career of Vibhoutee Sharma looks less like a ladder than a set of parallel tracks, each asking something slightly different of the same face.

This profile follows those tracks using her own interview and published cast records, and considers what they say about the working screen performer today.

From Professional Ambition to Entertainment

Her route into entertainment starts in Pune, where she completed an MBA in Human Resource. In an interview with Indian Ad Divas, she described being crowned Miss Pune Citadel in 2010 and then winning Lifestyle's MAX Face of the Year title in 2011. The second win, she said, gave her the confidence to shift her base from Pune to Mumbai.

Nothing in her own account is framed as a leap of faith. She has said she once imagined building a life abroad, and that modelling simply happened as good assignments arrived one after another. It is a practical, unshowy origin: a management degree, an early pageant record and a portfolio that grew as the work came in.

Finding Her Place on Screen

Her acting career begins in television and digital. In the same interview she described playing Rhythm, the daughter of neglectful parents, in a kidnapping-themed episode of Yeh Hai Aashiqui. She was also part of Love, Life & Screw Ups!!! (2016), a youth-focused web series that marked Zeenat Aman's digital debut. IMDb lists her as Priya across three episodes.

Feature films came next. In OK Jaanu (January 2017), a romance directed by Shaad Ali and produced by Dharma Productions and Madras Talkies, she has a supporting role as Jennifer. Eleven months later, Tiger Zinda Hai (December 2017), directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, placed her in a very different setting. She plays the nurse Jia in a film about Indian and Pakistani nurses held hostage in Iraq.}

Cookie (February 2020) shifted the scale. Directed by Lalit Marathe, the Hindi horror drama gives her the title role of Cookie Kapoor, the daughter of two psychiatrists so occupied with their patients that they neglect her. Among Vibhoutee Sharma's films, it is the one where the character is the premise.

Streaming brought another rhythm. Six, a murder mystery that premiered on Disney+ Hotstar's short-format Quix section on 27 May 2021, put her in an ensemble alongside Mandira Bedi and Sid Makkar. On ZEE5's Sunflower, which began streaming on 11 June 2021, she is credited as Akanksha, the chairman's daughter, in six episodes of the first season. She returns in the second season, which premiered in March 2024.

Taken together, these credits show a performer working at several scales: a supporting part in a romantic drama, a role within a large action film, a title role, and recurring appearances across two seasons of a comedy-crime series.

Beyond Acting: Modelling and Advertising

Commercial work has run alongside all of it. The Indian Ad Divas interview introduced her as the new Cadbury Dairy Milk face on television and showed her Whisper Ultra and Renault Duster commercials. Asked about her strengths, she pointed to her expression, the way her smile and eyes work together. That is a fair description of what advertising asks for.

An advertisement gives a performer a few seconds to establish who someone is, what they feel and why the viewer should stay. There is little room for a slow reveal. Modelling adds a related discipline: being read from a single still frame. As both a model and an actress, Vibhoutee Sharma has been working with that kind of economy from early on, and it is a useful lens for the rest of her career.

Music offered a third format. In 2020 she was credited among the female leads of "Saari Raat", a Bharatt-Saurabh track presented by VYRL Originals, where performance has to carry emotion without dialogue.

A Career Across Formats

Film. Digital. Advertising. Modelling. Music. Each runs on a different clock. A commercial is measured in seconds, a web-series episode in minutes, a feature in hours, a fashion image in a single moment. A performer who has worked across all of them learns to adjust scale: how much to give the lens, and how quickly.

Her credits show that adjustment in practice. Between 2016 and 2024, the same performer appears in a studio action film, a horror drama built around her character, a short-form streaming thriller, a multi-season comedy and consumer-brand commercials.

For casting teams and campaign makers, that spread makes a profile easier to read. A performer who has held the frame in each of those formats is easier to place, whether the brief is a thirty-second film, a character part or a brand shoot.

None of this needs to be stretched into a prediction. What the record supports is narrower and more interesting: a working actor whose credits do not sit in a single lane, and whose route into them began with a management degree and a pageant stage.

Vibhoutee Sharma Today

Her Instagram, @vibhoutee_sharma, describes her as an "Actor & Photographer" and points to a second account under the name Kollectiv. That description suggests a practice that now includes photography alongside acting. The profile does not say what she is working on next, and this article does not speculate. Her Facebook page lists Mumbai as her base. The most recent screen credit listed on IMDb at the time of writing is the second season of Sunflower, from March 2024.
